This latest instalment of Open Source Digital Design Insights is once again from interviews filmed back at ORConf 2015 in Geneva, and this time on the RISC-V based SHAKTI processor from IIT Madras. A project that aims to build 6 processor variants that range from microcontroller up to HPC class silicon, with processor interconnect and experimental security features also being developed.
Unfortunately, the quality of this video recording is not fantastic, on account of the filming location being a store room at the conference venue. So our apologies to you, the viewer, and of course Arjun Menon and Rahul Bodduna of IIT Madras. However, we are sure that you will agree that this is an exciting project and another great example of how open source digital design is gathering momentum.
