The dates for Wuthering Bytes 2020, the latest in the annual week-long celebration of interesting and inspiring technology, have been confirmed as the 28th of August through to the 6th of September inclusive, and the call for participation is now open.

“We’re excited to announce that this year the festival will run from Friday 28th August until Sunday 6th September,” write organisers Andrew Back and Tim Harbour. “Proceedings will get off to a start with Festival Day on Friday 28th and for which we are delighted to welcome back Dr. Laura James as compère. Planning is now well underway and we hope to be confirming the first Festival Day speakers very soon!

“We would also like to take this opportunity to issue a call for events to join us and be hosted as part of the festival. If you or a group you are involved with would like to host a day, or even just a morning or afternoon of talks, workshops or perhaps a round table discussion, please do get in touch. There are of course sponsorship opportunities and without the support of sponsors the festival simply would not be possible.”

At the same time, a call has been put out for fundraising as part of the Community Foundation for Calderdale’s flood appeal following severe flooding in Hebden Bridge and surrounding environs as a result of Storm Ciara. More information is available on the fundraising page.
